The gate.

Inside is an oasis of quiet calm. As I climbed the path, I grew more tranquil inside with every step. The garden stands on a hilltop in Washington Park, high above the downtown skyscrapers. Below, there’s a huge rose garden. The paths were almost empty because of the intermittent heavy showers.

Everywhere, there was stillness…

And peace.
